Did the pipe come of easily? I'm wondering if it "sprung" meaning it had suffered some impact? otherwise, it's just a case of orientating to roll into place.

Have you checked the straightness of the studs attaching the expansion chamber? These need to be straight.

Bolt up the header to the barrel first then fit the brackets and silencer.

Thanks guys, got there in the end. I undid everything and got the studs tightened first, everything else was much easier then! It had taken a knock as the expansion chamber is dented, not unusual but it prob meant it was slightly bent and as I was trying to get it all tight then do the studs, that was probably what I did wrong. It's on lurverly now in some nice new Matt black paint, much better than the rusty mess I took off.

Need to see what it's like now as it just wasn't as quick as I thought it would be.
