Re: maxxis surge tyres
I have used other Maxxix tyres and they have been fine, but I'll let you take the lead on being our guinea pig on this one

Re: maxxis surge tyres
Hi, I have has a set of these on a Honda xr400, and the Maxsis it,s on the old Bultaco so can give a bit of a comparison. The quality is near as dam it the same, withe the Surge being a slightly harder rubber. It is a heaver tyre as the side walls are 4 ply instead of 2. This in my mind makes it better on the trail for avoiding punchers but takes a little of the flex away.
They do not grip the road so well at the start but do "bed in" after about 50 miles or so.
In summery Not bad a bit heavy but tough, not quite so much grip on harder surfaces as the Maxxis.
