Got out on the CRM

Post by abigsupermoto » 29 Mar 2014, 19:11

Mostly on the road, got a couple of short green lanes in ( sadly not many legal ones left were we rode) did 120 miles got a sore bum, forgot how hard those seats are, pleased with how it went, haven't ridden for about 2 years, apart from Dirt Quake last year, so today was just to get used to the bike and see how it ran.
Got a small weep of oil from the kickstart shaft seal so that will be replaced, no play in the shaft which is good.
Here is a pic near Jodrell Bank, next to my mates DR

And one at J&S, had to park next to one of those big off-road bikes that are popular these days.......didn't look very dirty ;)

I think it was the original colour although it had yellow stickers on the rad panels when I got it, but half were missing due to jet washing by the looks of it so I took them off.

Probably going to replace with a set of these

Bike looks nice,I took mine out for its first run yesterday, not as successful as you,300 yards and my carb was chucking fuel everywhere lol. At least I didn't have far to push it home though.
On the subject of graphics I have just used d&d and they were spot on,very good quality and arrived within 3 weeks. :)

Thats only the tank kit, would you not do front and rear mudguards as well as sidepanels.

This is the kit I used from D and d (apart from rad panels).

I only really want to disguise the purple a bit really, may just paint the tank, and change the air box
Going to use it for now and worry about the looks later ;)

Nice collection btw, pension fund?

Fishy
Funny you say that as I am paying for 6 of us to go to Macau and have a bit of fun, good job I will have a wad of dollars from you to spend there

On a more serious note make sure you bring a map with you showing me where you ride, it would be nice to actually place your trail on a larger map.

I will bring a map for my secret Sai Kung ones'

here's the PLA shooting range - these are very well known - and have the longest/ most challenging trails in Hong Kong - You can ride all the way from Butterfly beach to Lau Fa SHan on Deep Bay road - all spitting distance from the chinese border... U can almost see the trails in the sat photo...- basically everything on the left side of Tuen Mun is fair game! its weird terrain.. doesnt look like anywhere else in HK - not forested - but just scrubland.. very hilly!!!
