Gear lever & rear brake pedal
Gear lever & rear brake pedal
Hi all,
I'm looking for a new gear lever for my CRM mk3, I like the look of the RFX ones but they don't list any for the olde CRM!
Would anyone know off hand if say a CRF250/450 item would fit?
Also has anyone put an alloy rear brake lever off another model on a CRM? Would be nice to get rid of the rusty bent thing that's fitted to mine at the moment!
Cheers
Paul

Re: Gear lever & rear brake pedal
Gear lever,as far as I know, due to the shaft dia, only CRM ones fit.
Brake levers are more generic, with some of the folding tip ones fitting, though which years I know not, but I do have one on my MK3 8-]].

Ok, I'd have thought it would have been the other way round! I did notice that the shaft is pretty large on the Crm.
I'll eye up some brake levers, see what I can get to fit.
Thanks!

Re: Gear lever & rear brake pedal
You will find that that most years of the cr250 and cr500 gear shift will fit on no worries, But try and buy one made of steel for you can bend it to sit in a bit. As the alloy gear shifts might look better but there shape makes them stick out to far and you can not bend them. Another good point of the cr gear shifts is they are longer and its a lot easier to get you MX boot under it.
And you will also find that the cr foot brakes will fit " But back end is a little longer so you need to change the angle of the master cylinder "A bit of a pain but can be done.
