What Mk this oil tank is off?

Post by 2stroke » 08 Feb 2015, 09:41

Hello there, I have a question. I've purchased 2T oil tank for Mk3- (it's 2 tanks with hose in between)

but it's definitely not like my Mk3. I've read model history on this forum and thought it might be from Mk1 because it says Mk2 and Mk2.2 now have oil in a frame. But after search and reading some forum posts seems Mk1 and Mk2 have oil in a frame. So is it Mk2.2? Or Mk.1? Thanks

It's from a Mk3 or AR but I think they are the same. Mk1 and 2 are completely enclosed in the frame.

Its not from Mk3 - i found one of the forum members pic of mk3 tank

and it's the same as on my mk3.

So maybe AR?

If that is the case then it probably isn't from a CRM?

Yeah it could be that. Anyone with AR recognise it?

Looks more like an NSR. I need to see close ups of the filler lid area.

Definitely from an AR.

I just sold a couple of sets we had spare.

If you want £20 I'll take it just to have it.

Just arrived, bargain, now on shelf just in case.

Just £20 for 2 tanks, filler cap and oil spill rubber, interconnecting pipes and oil level transmitter :P

If anybody wants them later at least we have them in the system now.

Thanks

"...in the system... " I like that :)

£5 for a chain slider when new is £65 not bad too
