What size road tyres?

Post by chris1811 » 17 Nov 2015, 12:56

Hi guys,

Have done a Google search and used the forum search bar but not coming up with what I need.

With winter looming I want to get some suitable road tyres on my mk2. I currently have mitch AC10 front and rear, not the best in the world for smashing out a 40 mile journey now and again.

Currently have 100/100/18 rear and 90/100/21 (I think) front. I've been told I can go ten up on one and 10 down on the other. (width and profile)

I need to know tyre sizes of road tyred that will fit. Preferably mitchelin as I get them cheaper through work.

Cheers guys.

Problem is I can't find anything in standard sizes.

The closest I can find are mitch Sirac in 110/80/18 rear and 80/90 or 90/90 21 front.

Would these be suitable?

My current sizes are:

80/100/21 front
100/100/18 rear

Just checked them as wasn't sure if I was right first time

I quite liked the Bridgestone trail wing on road - they look like knobbly but are quite rubbish off road,,, great on road tho

Good in wet..
