You know , if you really wanted something simular , they do a chrome in powder coat.
Powder coating is actually a ceramic so is super strong and heat resistant , so you can powder coat exaushts , turbos ect, plus it would be really cheap , im guessing under $100 ,not including sand/bead blasting.

Powder coating uses polyester powder. It is basically a plastic that is melted on. It can't be used in hight temperature applications otherwise it melts and falls off or catches fire. For real high temperature stuff like exhaust headers and turbo housings, you need a proper ceramic coating.
