rear subframe?
rear subframe?
im thinking of choping up my rear subframe shortening it or just removing it completly has no real reason other than holding number plate brake light and a few other bits n bobs.
good idea or not???
just got my frame back from powdercoaters and looks nice!! swingarm going next but if not shure about this subframe what i want to do....

nah will still have a crm mudgaurd just chop back as far as posible cr's and other mx bike they dont go back so far ??

Hi Nabz,
Most of the older Mxers didnt have the 'loop' at the back of the subframe. The 2 tubes just ended with a bung in each side. The loop just gives it a bit more strength, important if u carry a pillion. As long as you think the rear light/guard wont wobble to bits, shouldnt be a prob.
I did once cut up an old rear guard and fit it under the existing guard as a stiffener and that worked well.

not a bad idea KK i may do something similar to the front mud guard as on the highway i would swear it was trying to take into flight if i didnt know better.
