yeah you lose a lot of low end traction with the mugen.
However I was reading this article a while ago and there was a japanese
guy who had hooked up the two units and had a handle bar mounted
cross over switch for high power and traction mode, that would be pretty
nifty if they wasent so expensive considering they only cost around £150
or something when they were in production I would have paid that.

just seems a bit pointless to go to those extremes for a 2% increase and a major loss of bottom end power.i bet you'd probably get the same if not more of a power gain of the cdi just by fitting an aftermarket pipe.just goes to show 'dont believe the hype', i wonder if most people would still pay through the nose for one nowadays if they saw and understood that graph???
