Coolant only versus a Coolant/Water mix
Coolant only versus a Coolant/Water mix
Guys,
I finally got the CRM running last night - 3rd kick! Photos to follow soon...
Anyway, my question : I am running the MK2 with coolant in the cooling system to prevent corrosion - my mate reckons that you should run a coolant/water mix (although he didnt say why!).
Any ideas?

coolant
putting water into your coolant depends on the product that you buy some products are complete fill as the name suggests you just fill it up no water needed other products come in a consentrated form and need to be watered down the bottle will tell you what ratio if your still not sure just ask the dude at your local bike store cheers!

Bargos,
If you have bought general bike/car engine coolant then it doesn't matter, neat or diluted, it will run ok. you only need to dilute the \"nasty\" ones that are used in racing cars , aeroplanes etc, cos of the ingredients. remember shop bought coolant is usually designed to be put in neat for the winter anyway, so will be able to cope with a british summer as well! When i had my CRM in Cyprus, i was putting in Esso engine coolant neat from the local garage, and that has run with no probs ever since i came back and went racing.
