ar lacking power

any ideas? my mate has bought a standard mk1 crm,and it has more power than my standard ar,especially when going up steep hills.
both bikes have the same gearing.
if my ar is meant to have more power please help as the bike runs ok

have you checked the opperation of the dreaded \"ole power valve\" ? if not , remove the rc cover , start the bike ( & warm it up of course) slowly bring the revs up & watch the lever ( the one with the two cables attatched) & check if it's moving up & down in relation with the revs. if not you've got problems. if i remember there is a post in technical about the electrics. hope this helps.
