Brake pivots/tyres
Hi All
Fitting some bark busters to the bike. Wwhen I take the old hand guards off the brake pivot bolts are way too long. What have others done about this, or have you just left the original bolts in place?
The bike has currently got supermoto wheels in but this weekend I am going to put the offroad wheels back in. I have tried these on the road once and the grip on the road is terrible (they are fitted with proper enduro tyres, not road legal). As I want to use the bike on and off road can anyone recommend a compromise tyre that will give good grip off road and at least feel safe at normal road speeds?
Thanks
Roger

Re your bolt problem, I think you'll find most bolts from other bikes master cylinders/clutch levers will fit. I used the bolts out of my Z1000 until I had time to turn some up from stainless M8 caphead bolts.
I ran MX tyres on the road for a while until my motard wheels were ready, had to slow up in the wet but otherwise (apart from the tyre noise!) they were fine. I could keep up with the knee down boys on PB roundabout, but that may have been cos they weren't very quick either!
