Possible fuel problem?

Post by thehedgepig » 10 Nov 2003, 16:11

I've got a 250AR and on tickover its hunting..... The revs rise and fall.

Its pretty regular at about 5 or 6 seconds the revs pick up and then fall again.

Also when the bike falls over( I'm Crap) ie:- Lying in a ditch... fuel is leaking from the carb out of the overflow... (Float not re seating ???)

Any help much appreciated Ta...

Hi Pig,

Revs rising and falling usually indicate a weak or lean mixture - check the carb is setup correctly and that there are no airleaks around the inlet and outlet manifolds on the carb. Also check that the air filter is clean and is seated correctly.

Leakage from the carb overflow is nothing to worry about, mine does it as well...not that im crap or anything!!
