Ouch!!! but at least its free!!!
After reading all the posts on siezed swinging arm spindles, ( and having tried but not very hard) to free mine, I decided to bite the bullet and go for it Saturday! anyhow long story short!! it came out! but only after hitting my hand with the hammer 3 yes bloddy 3 times in the same place!!! as my mate said you should be using a drift not your hand!! ha ha funny now not at the time!!!

PS, Any time your welting something, hold the drift item with the heel of your Palm uppermost, it's a technique that takes a little learning, but, hugely less painful when the inevitable happens.
Better still, clamp the drift in a pair of grips, but if your still hitting your hand then, should have gone to specsave.

Wow you were very lucky with your swing arm. My old MK1 Swing arm bolt was stuck because over time the bearing bushes rusted onto the bolt, we used a huge 200 ton press but could not get good enough pressure on the bolt so we picked up the angle grinder and made three incredible cuts a surgeon would be proud of!

As you may have read I had to take the angle grinder to mine. That was after a week of hitting the thing.

Hi Eddie, Yep it had been playing on my mind it was stuck so glad thats out the way! pics of the ride looked great! fun in the snow, been emailing with The Beer Hunter hoping to get out with him soon and if you have any rides coming up let me know hoping I can make the next one!!
