Brake Disc Wear
Hi, checked the FAQ an the boards an found minimum front disc thickness is 2.5mm.
Anyone know what it is for the rear? Mine are mega thin an was just wonderin how id go on at the MOT.
I could do with new ones but since its still in the project stage i dont wanna be shellin out just yet.

Re: Brake Disc Wear
I think that, in common with most other, elder statesmen, on here, we really don't object to answering, and brainstorming, as best we can, for a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs, a solution to problems other owners have experienced.
However, rock up on here, without expending a single iota of your valuable time, and expecting sometimes to receive answers immediately, to banal, FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS, can bring out the most acidic replies, to what on the face of seems a fairly innocuous request.
It's a bit like the old joke of the wheel with a puncture in it, every ones a comic, and, cheerfully points out the fact it's "only flat at the bottom", fast forward that observation 15 times, and your smile will be pretty thin by then

I think he's trying to say that if you dont search first and ask repeat questions you deserve what you get...(hope to meet you face to face one day Mike - I think it will be a very 'interesting' experience... )

No, sorry if that's the way it came across.twistednuts wrote:Have i just had a bollockin, i cant work it out?
I was hoping to illustrate the difference in helpfulness of responses between those who had made a modicum of effort to seek out an answer to their query,[yes you're in that category], and those that post up mind numbing trivia.

Re: Brake Disc Wear
Some good deals on eBay at the moment. You should be looking at ~£50 for the rear and less for the front.
