Pipe on top of head/lose front sprocket
Pipe on top of head/lose front sprocket
Could anyone please tell me what part of the bike does the pipe on the top of the head go to?
Mine is come off and I can not see where it goes.
Also how lose should the front sprocket be there seams to be a lot of travel side to side?
Tx

Re: Pipe on top of head/lose front sprocket
is the sproket lined up on the splines?
if it will move side to side towards you ( like a bad wheel bearing ) what i did was put a thin washer under the locking washer to take out the lose play,
if it swivels on the splines ( if located on right ) then the teeth on the cog or shaft are worn, if the shaft moves back and forth and there is no oil leaking from the seal dont worry about it,
if the teeth are worn on the shaft , try to get the sprockes to sit further back ( turn it round ) check there is clearance for every thing,
if the sprocket looks at fault , get a new one £10-£15 e-bay
