mk3 electrical fault
mk3 electrical fault
Hi guys try and stay with me here as I have a pretty big electrical fault I will try to explain as best as I can. The fault first started when I pressed the front brake lever all the instrument lights would flash all the other lights would go out and I would get a noise like a flasher unit clicking. Next it started to cut the engine out when I pressed either brake as well as taking all the lights out. Now I have investigated it further I have disconnected the indicators and the fault carried on so I checked the coil but there were no signs of damage. I have disconnected the front brake wireing and cleaned the kill switch after re building it seemed to be fixed however it only runs briefly then cuts out slowly. Anyone else had a similar problem or any help will really help to speed this repair up.

Re: mk3 electrical fault
Dont think there is a quick fix wi them electrickery gremlins.
Check all your earths, check condition of all the wiring behind the headlight, then start eliminating each switch etc. Guess you've eliminated it to a point but still not totally fixed.
Good luck dude
