Re: fuel consumption ?
I couldn't tell you, but bit of a vague question, lots of variables to be thrown in there. I couldn't even hazard a ball park figure, but I'm sure someone can on here.....

Re: fuel consumption ?
+1, I can get nearly 90 miles before reserve is needed, others on smaller gearing get a lot less, but you might as well have asked how long is this piece of string in my pocket, due to variables as alluded to above.Active Rascal wrote:I couldn't tell you, but bit of a vague question, lots of variables to be thrown in there. Re: fuel consumption ?
Ive never understood that sayin 'how long is a piece of string'.
Half its length x 2 etc.
Why have you got string in your sky Mike?

Re: fuel consumption ?
In String Theory every string must be close to a Planck length, which is about 10 to the minus 33 centimeters, or about a millionth of a billionth of a billionth of a billionth of a centimeter.
In order to include closed loops as opposed to open ended strings, there must be a special kind of symmetry called supersymmetry, which means for every boson (particle that transmits a force) there is a corresponding fermion (particle that makes up matter). So supersymmetry relates the particles that transmit forces to the particles that make up matter.
Hope that helps.

I was alluding to the superstring theory, as opposed to higs bosun normal theory.
And, if I want to keep superstring in my pocket, that's between me and my underpants

Re: fuel consumption ?
i'm on my 4th pint and I only walked to the loo and back........
hows that for mileage?
( my mk3 does a bit better 130 km ish on standard gearing... altho the jets were massive! 152 an 60 pilot then )
now on 15 f 48 R - with standard jets it does anywhere from 70 to 90 km allegedly - accuracy is dubious since I cracked the speedo and my reserve dont work hence extreme anxiety if I get to 60 on the odious odometer
and if mike's string gets ravelled around the rear it can really bring the resistance up
ok I better go to bed now!
