so you could hotwire a 12 volt battry at the dc side to see if this cures your problem then

Done the Battery Hotwire, Sorted. She runs like a good un. Thanks to all, I don't know where to get a reg from though any ideas. :P

leisure trail or david silver spairs ,You could also investigate an aftermarket one or one from another bike , like the 250 mx ,dunno , wonder what else honda do with no battery,,at the end of the day , electricaly , anything should fit if the outputs match ie, 15 to 18 volts ac in , 13 to 14 volts dc out,,regulated?,,But tred steady eddie,,You dont wanna blow the cdi at this stage do you ,,, :oops:
