baffle in carb

Post by pearse15 » 19 Mar 2005, 11:41

I've just checked the drawing for the carburetter system of my mk2, and it shows a baffle which sits between the jet and emulsion tube. Mine doesn't have this. the jet screws straight into the emulsion tube. Is the baffle important?

cheers, pearse

Pearse,

Are you sure that this isnt why your bike isnt running? Im not what the right answer is - have you spoken to LeisureTrail about it?

sorry bout late reply. I'm not sure if this has caused any problems. I can't see what it can do. The bike did run before and it wasn't in. It aint running at all now. I've spoken to leisure and they said there not sure, as there carbs have always had them. so they don't know how it'd run without it. I think i was having carb problems before, but i think it's somethine else now.

hi, the part youre referring to is actually to reduce or stop the fuel frothing around the jet when your going over bumpy tracks or \"whoops\".
mine done it now and then when i was at an enduro but you can still use it without.
