Suspension linkage

Post by flying scotsman » 12 Feb 2006, 14:17

Does anybody know if the suspension linkage for a MK 2 will fit onto a MK 1 without any mods.

Cheers

Steve,

Which part of the linkage are we talking about?

I do know that the dog bone from a mark1 will fit straight onto the mark2.

LT will be able to tell you for certain.

Im talking about the linkage that connects the frame , shock and swinging arm. The reason I ask is that I bought one off a guy on e bay that was breaking a MK 1 but it aint the same as the one that I removed from my bike which is definately a MK 1 linkage. I dont know if i would have to use the MK 2 dogbones as well.

Cheers

Steve,

I have been thinking about this.

From what I can remember one of the bearing sizes on the dog bone is different between mark1 and mark2.

Cant you cobble something together out of what you already have?
