Re: hunting / surging / horse kicking on the overrun
I have noticed that my bike kicks more on over run or closed throttle running when the weather is warmer. This suggests that I need to lean down the airscrew or go leaner on the pilot. But I won't be doing this as at least I'm running a little rich which is much better than running lean.
Generally the use of an aftermarket pipe, if it requires rejetting, is to go to smaller jets as the engine tends to run richer after the change. FMF recommend this as do other manufacturers. If you look at the jetting tables manaufacturers supply you will find that generally you need to use smaller jets. Always start with the pilot.
