No power in the middle range [MK3]

Post by maciej_mi » 03 Jun 2016, 13:10

My crm losse the Power immedietly on middle rpm. The noise from muffler changed for much more lower (bass). Starting Perfect, low and high rpms ok. When i restart Engine everything go normal. Now i clean all electrical connections and its ok. Carb? Power valve? I'm 500 km's after rebore, New piston and power valve cleaning.

You could try altering the needle position, go one position richer [ clip down a notch thus raising the needle] see if that makes any difference either way. The filters all clean I assume, and the plugs a newish one?

CRMs are renown for their 'knocking' noises. Some do, some don't. Mk2s seem to be the worst. I've tried a lot of different barrels on the same bottom end and they do vary. I put it down to noise from the power valve but following FMtB's recommendation will do no harm.

have you cleaned the carb? noise with more bass could be bogging which is a lean condition. Other option could be crank seals but if idle and top end are good tis is unlikely. My guess is carb or powervalve.

Thanks! Unfortunetly the reason of noise was freezed rc valve. On the position maximum to the turn out direction. Its in 100% pgm defect? When i restart it going ok. When i run constant rpms its shorting. CRM nots run smooth Power valve also. Before rebore pv wasnt sticking but Engine was shorting.
