Questions

Post by Piitark » 04 Dec 2016, 10:43

Hi,

I have a questions:

1,
I need to rebuild my crankshaft becouse previous owner rebuilded it with chinese conrod kit and I do not trust in it(It runs at me about 20.000km-s plus some of prev owner becouse i don't know this).
Who use a conrod kit form LT can tell me the manufacturer and a quality of it?

2,
Power valve motor pull vale only to close position, but on mark the motor don't stop it pulls and pulls.
Maybe the potentiometer go wrong?

Thanks,

1. LT do not sell a rod kit but they can send your crank off for rebuild.
2. check FAQ how to check powervalve problems.

if your pv servo is spining its usually a broken wire or a dirty connection in the servo wire plug that connects to the loom . potentiometer could also be in need of a clean with electrical cleaner . dont use WD40 as this waxes up the carbon tipped contact inside the unit

Yes, I bought a HotRods kit,the crank will be ready soon.

I saw the servo, all wire layer broken,i think the wires too. I need to cut and re-solder theese.

Got any more info onthat kit? As far as I am aware no one knows of a kit that fits so please tell me where I can find one.
The FAQ could also be updated then too.

I found this kit in a greece webshop. It costs 210 euro,so very expensive. The conrod name is Hotrods 8111,it's basically a Ktm conrod, with a crm compatible big end pin, needle roller bearing and washers.

Specification says 132.0mm center to center, but i measure it and it's 132.5mm. The small end pin 18mm so must use a trx piston.

Can i link the webshop here?

nice one. You say it has 18mm small end which is fine like you said TRX piston will work. What size is the big end?

No,not mine, but with the same set.

The little end diamater 22m so you must use a trx piston with a 18mm piston pin.

Reason I ask is:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0fBOH ... WowRVA1RXc
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0fBOH ... FpONy1fV00

That is a failed LT rebuilt crank. Guy I purchased from said he did 5 miles on it and it got so hot it took out the main bearing on the generator side too. I have the whole engine and only this part is bad.
