MK2 exhaust gasket query
MK2 exhaust gasket query
Hello,
Today my father and I have put together my MK2 after a rebuild and it started first kick!
Really please but when we were putting it together, we didn't have an exhaust gasket for the downpipe/exhaust flange area.
I'm going to check for a leak when I take it out in daylight. IF I can't see one, do I actually need one, or is this essential in the long run?

Re: MK2 exhaust gasket query
Probably advisable, as it might act as a spacer for the end of the pipe into the exhaust flange?
Good news it's all running though.

Re: MK2 exhaust gasket query
strongly advise as my bike recently sucked water into the engine. Airbox was dry so I suspect it was through the exhaust between stinger and silencer (DEP slip on)
