Remove Exhaust Dents

Post by Dalmatian » 04 Sep 2017, 10:47

My AR standard exhaust is dented, does anyone have any ideas how to remove them, I'm thinking of drilling holes in it and pulling them out with a slide hammer then welding up the holes? I'll then grind them back and spray the exhaust.

Any recommendations?

The std exhaust has 2 layers so it will be difficult to do.
Just buy a nice shiny DEP.

Do I need a tail pipe or does the standard one fit?

The tail pipe will make quite bit of difference but you can fit the original or a new one. If you want a second hand one I have one in the garage that I can refurbish (new stainless core and new packing) that you could have but it will take me a couple of weeks to finish it. Cosmetically if is a bit rough but structurally sound.

Thanks for the offer, I'll have to start saving for a full system.
