hi everyone i'm having a bit of an head scratch moment !

for some reason my brake light (stop light ) as turned i to a kill switch after a couple of minuets of the bike (mk2) running.
so i unpluged the capacitor thing and all is fine plug bit back in and back to a kill switch
dose this mean the capacitor knackerd ?
any help would be greatly appreciated

There is a short in the loom. When you press the brake peddle you are activating the rear brake light switch which is shorting against the frame somewhere.

Ian says it doesn't do it with capacitor unplugged though which is a bit odd? Could be a failed or failing rec/reg/alternator so that there is barely any volts being fed into the system. Easy to check the capacitor if you have a multimeter as should show no conductivity through it after a few seconds. If that is OK, then measure the voltage at the capacitor with engine running.
