Mk2 oil pump fix

Post by jtcrm88 » 15 Oct 2018, 14:35

Hi all,

The brass nipple of the outlet has snapped. I read somewhere here that the nsr125 pump is almost identical and you can take the nipples of these.

I got my hands on a nsr125 pump but how do I manage to take off those nipples and put them on my crm250 pump?

Many thanks

Grip between a pair of pliers and twist. Takes a bit of effort - pulling and twisting.

Thanks for your quick reply. So I assume it's better to take the pump of the engine when replacing the nipple right?

Not necessary unless it makes it easier to replace.
