Removing flywheel / magneto

Post by markmatt » 15 Jul 2023, 19:45

Good evening all, I am struggling to remove the flywheel / magneto on a Mk2. I have tried various pullers and they are either too small to fit the diameter of the magneto, or the hooks on the legs are too wide to fit inside the crankcase. Before I start grinding down the legs of a puller, am I missing something simple?

I have something similar to the above. Makes the job easy and less likely to damage something. Might be worth checking the thread sizes, but the one I have, has fitted various other bikes.
