VIN Location

Post by tosaw23 » 11 Oct 2023, 18:34

Hello, Can anyone confirm the VIN location(s) on our bikes?

I need to have my VIN verified by my local Motor Vehicle Department before I can register my bike here in the US and all I can find is the stamp on the right side of the headstock.

Is there also supposed to be a sticker, or a stamp in another location?

Thanks!

CJ

What you have found is the VIN number.

Thanks knackered, I realize that is the VIN but the inspector wanted to see it in another location too. My other Hondas have that stamp plus a decal on the left side of the headstock but I don't see anything except the stamping on this bike. I'm just not sure if the decal is a USA only thing or if mine was blasted away by a pressure washer at some point!

The CRM250 is unusual in that it doesn't have any other marking but I believe it is because it was made for the Japanese market only.

That makes sense to me! I'm going to see a different inspector on Saturday. Wish me luck haha
