Kickstart problems

Hi ..I am having problems with my crm 250 .The problem is the kickstart slips and im having trouble starting the bike...
Any tips?

Hi,

Sounds like the splines on the kickstarter ?

If they've worn away, a new one will sort it, if they've gone on the shaft you need a new one of them - other than that, it could be a problem inside, it is easy to remove the right hand cover and see.

there should be a little spring inside ,,bet its worn or busted

Hi ..Thanks for the help..
Took the side casing off and there is a big spring giving lift pressure to the kickstart return which looked ok... then a smaller spring which is not very robust giving some pressure to the back of the whole mechanism..dog teeth and cog look ok ..I will try replacing this smaller spring first and report back..
