My mk3 has a problem in its 4th gear. When i have the 4th in the gearbox the engine works very poor because of the low voltage that cdi gives.Does anyone knows how to fix it?All gears are working perfect.Only the 4th has the problem.

Yes when i put the 4th.It has nothing to do with the rpm or the kmh.My bike is a Japanese model and it has this poo ,that i dont know it s name in English, in the cdi.In a free translation from Greek to English we call this poo ''cutter''.It has something in the gearbox that when the 4th goes in, gives order to the cdi to produce less voltage. So i am searching for anti-cutter.

Think your talking about the rev limiter or the cdi,s resricting properties..Dont really think its got anything to do with fourth gear though,,,,Are you saying it pulls to maximun revs throughout the 1st,2nd,3rd gears but then breaks down in fourth ,,Hmmm , What happens in 5th,and 6th gear..Sounds like your gear selectors busted and you going from third gear straight to 5th or 6th ,,???

That s right my friend.The 1st,2nd,3rd,5th n 6th makes your hands longer....But the 4th.....misses the school bus......My engine is to strong.wossner piston,Fmf,Mxt reeds,Bigger jets,x-race air filter etc.my bike has more than 40hp at rear wheel.But the 4th makes me sad...Cheers.
