anyone know what the differnece is between a br8es and a b8es spark plug ?
i know the br8es is the standard for the crm,but i have a new b8es in the garage. will it work ? melt ? explode ?

Hi alan. dont quote me on this but i believe the R is for resistor. as for what difference it will make i dont know. Perhaps keep it as a spare in the bike toolkit to get you going as it were but i would replace it with a smae grade plug or a BR8EGV if your flush

i was just being a tight arse.
my bikes just passed its mot, and ive been out most of the afternoon.first ride on a bike in two years, and i forgot what i was missing.
just need to get off road now.

br8es is a much higher temperature plug, used in a lot of crossers to keep the performance up wen hot

Hi, The R is for Resistor and this stops it causing interference with the TV & Radio signals. You have to be pretty close to a TV with your bike running to see it. I am told it don’t make any difference if it is resisted or not to the quality of the spark, but I am not 100% confident about that. I always use BE8G plugs and have had no problems with my CRM MK2, I also use these in a YZ250 as well, this gets seriously hot and it hasn’t let me down.
