Oil leak from rear shock ?

Hi All,
I was looking at my (under used) Mk2 in the garage yesterday and noticed a small puddle of oil under it. Having done an engine rebuild a few months ago I was worried it was something I had done, but getting underneath the bike and having a look round I *think* it's coming from the rear shock !?!?1 The oil certainly seems to be acumulating on the rear suspension linkage before driping onto the floor, but the body of the shock is dry - if its coming from anywhere it seems to be coming from the bottom. Does this sound right for a blown seal or is my leak likely to be from elsewhere ? certainly can't see evidence of it if it is.

How much can I expect to pay for a rear shock rebuild in the UK ?

Cheers

Ed

Check that none of the overflow hoses are trapped above the suspension linkage.

I had a shock re built at K & S Racing in Sittingbourne for £65.

Had a quick look at these and they don't seem to be trapped, but I will re-check. Cheers. Did they have all the details on the settings etc for a CRM shock then ?

Thanks

Not sure about a CRM shock as I had a Fireblade shock done, I did ask them about the CRM shock & they said it should not be a problem.

Just something for you to check,if your like me and oil your air filter before a weekly storage the excess can run down to the bottom of the filter box and fall out of the drain and onto the area of the floor under the rear shock.it caught me out once.I fitted a cut off ballon to the bottom of the drain.

definately something to look at just in case, but haven't oiled the filter for a while, though thats nasty tacky blue stuff from what I remember.
