Anybody want to have a go at making a bashplate? I made one in about 2 hours using a 4\" disc cutter, drill and my favourite the hammer. If you cut slot in the plate near the frame rails, you can fix it using jubilee clips.

Sorry the pic is not to good, but bike is dirty and the bash plate has reflective covering on it. (similar to road sign's).

Toxic, just going to strip it back, needs a bit of finishing, and then polish.

I had a good idea for a home made bashplate but it involves the bike being upside down to get it to size ,
I bought £2 a blue polypropilene(plastic) chopping board
This type of plastic becomes plyable when very hot ,
I was gonna cook it in the ovan for a while and just place it over the spot on my upsidedown crm frame ,, Once formed i could cut away the access
with a jigsaw and hay presto,, £2 colour coded plastic bashplate moulded to custom fit tightly and very strong...
I got the plastic chopping board but cant be assed to put the bike upsidedown ,, draining oil and the like ..
ill have a go in the summer

Have faith mick. cut the size right and it'l fit. then just trim as desired.(reminds me, i need a shave). i seen one made out of a shovel, on an rmx, didn't look to bad. also handy if you get stuck in a bog to dig yourself out. by the way, written on the bottom of my bashplate is \"await instructions\"
