mk1 electrical trouble

Post by aleks82 » 17 Nov 2006, 08:59

hey my mk1 was modified by previous owner and only electrics remaining are essentials to run the bike and work the power valve servo(all lights/indictaors have been removed).

when i bought the bike it sparked, but now ive put it back together it wont spark!
all loose ends in the loom are cut so there are no loose connections, and everything that can be plugged in, is plugged in
any ideas ?

i had the frame powder coated so maybe engine isnt earthed to framee?

Aleks82, i think you've hit the nail on the head. not only the engine, but also check any other earths you (should) have. Gwyn.
