Rear Shock Attention Rqd

Post by fat trout » 20 May 2003, 23:11

My newly aquired MkII's shock is leaking and requires attention.
Does anyone have experience of :
a) Rebuilding original shock
b) Replacing with Ohlins / WhitePower
c) Replacing with CR / XL one

Any feedback much appreciated
Cheers, John. :D

Hi Fat, or call I call you Trout?

Ive no experience of any of the above however I paid to have the shock rebuilt on my DR350, came in at about £80 and felt much better. If youve ever ridden a bike with a knackered shock you will know what I mean.

I had my CRM shock rebuilt by K tech in Coalville. Cost 65 quid and made a world of difference. Kev Summerton is the main man there, what he doesn't know about suspension isn't worth knowing.
I would stick with the original shock and get it professionally rebuilt if I were you, K tech will get you spring etc if thats what you want.
