Mileage expected to a full frame of 2 stroke oil on a Mk2

Post by Chris Lorimer » 28 May 2003, 13:33

Those site glasses for the current level of 2 stroke oil are a waste of time once it redudes below the visible level.

What mileage can I expect from full to empty of 2 stroke oil on a Mk2?

Any ideas?

Hi Chris,

I usually fill up every 250 - 300 KMS with 600-800ml.

I don't let it run to the light coming on, Generally check it/top it up every other petrol fill up.

Phil

as with all things I expect it depends on how you ride it,

more revs = more fuel = more oil = more grins.

the service thing says to check it every 250kms, i guess this is to cover themselves against running dry?
