Wheel balancing?

Hi Guys,
After discovering my wheel rims were knackered, I ended up going the whole hog and having new rims with stainless spokes. they do look the dogs do dars!
Fitted with new tyres and tubes, I’ve put them on.
Spinning the wheels loosely on the spindles, I have noticed that they are quite away off balance.
My question. Do they need to be balanced on a bike like a CRM or will I never notice? :?:

Thanks,

i wouldnt have thought it would matter to much if its not that bad,but seen as you can notice it without a machine id say best to take them to a garage and get them to do them, shouldnt cost to much and will save your wheel bearings :)

I have found that the rear wheel dosen't generally need balancing but the front does. Particulaly if you have a rim lock on it. Buy some self adhesive lead weight from Halfords or the like or beat out some lead strip and wrap it round your spokes near to the rim. It's quite easy to do and the bike will ride smoother.

Works for me :D Also, wrap some gaffer tape around the lead or you might have some fekers eye out :D
