calipers!

Could someone please tell me what would be best paint to use on calipers would i need to primer/special paint ???
Would like to paint the calipers gold...
what should i look at when taking the caliper apart to check if any parts have weared/eroaded

the best stuff for calipers is the stuff the chav boy racers use on their car brakes, its a heat resisting high temp paint that can be brush applied. available is all kinds of colours. should be around a £5 from most car accessory places or if you absolutely must... halfords

main thing to check is just if the seals are intact and clean, pistons should be free from corrosion, if there is some, use some extra fine wet and dry to clean them up, flush it out to make sure there are no particles left and reassemble with some red rubber grease.

As above + brake fluid will strip most paint in minutes. Calliper paint is the best choice or polish & anodise?

so shotblast em , chav paint em , apply with brush.
Nice one will give one a go when i got time to shotblast it and post pics

hmmm....

I could polish but there are so many little cracks on the caliper it would take me a long time.
anodised gold would look very nice tho.
+i would need dremel and some special bits for it and money is short atm.
maybe after i paint these ones ill buy some second hand off ebay and have a go
