I have read through the what fits what post but I am unable to determine if the balance shaft and drive gear are interchangeable between the Mk2 and Mk3. I need a gear and woodruff key and there is a whole unit on ebay at present.

Also I seem to be unable to find things with "search" at present, is this my technique or is there a common problem at present.

I would think that all balancer shafts are interchageable but don't know for sure. They are different part numbers but that is no certancy of difference. Leisure Trail may know .

'Search' is a bit hit and miss at the moment. Don't know why . - Have told Admin.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try to remove the balance shaft today to inspect the bearing surface. I suspect that is the reason the drive gear was removed in the first place.
