Thanks very much
Andy

Hi mate, My bike is running on premix, however it alwas has done. From what i can tell all that has been done is that the oil pipes have been removed. The oil pump is still there, just no cable attached and thats it. But ive heard things about jetting should be changed? Not sure wether mine has but it runs spot on as it is.
Sure someone else will make things abit more clear.
Thanks
Jim

AndyM - do a search this has been hashed out many many times. If your system is working then its best to leave it using autolube as it regulates the right quantity of oil for the amount the throttle it open rather than throwing a set amount in regardless.
Anyway if you search you'll find all the ifo you need including mixture ratios.

if you must go the way of the devil then there are two ways of doing it. one is to link the inlet and outlet pipes so there is always oil in the pump ( this helps if you are going to reuse it). the other is to remove all components and blank of the holes left from the pump. either way, i would rather use the oil pump as if you have premix you get more plug fouling and bad running. MX bike use this as the higher revs clean out the system better, but the nature of the CRM, you wont run it the same.
At the end of the day (I hate that phrase) it's up to you, but I would keep the option of reusing it if the need arises.

Ok thanks alot for your info thats very helpful.. Ill have a good think about it, I had two reasons to convert one was, parts for the crm here in oz are very hard to get hold of and I though that if I eliminated the oil pump its one less thing to go wrong and also if it did go wrong I would mean that i would end up doing a topend rebuild and have to source topend parts..
My second reason was that whes not running too great at the moment She fouled a new plug within a few mins of use, looked like she was running very rich and I am not sure what the correct setting are of the oil pump adjustment or even how to adjust it and also where to find it..lol so I was thinking if i was running premix I would know how much oil she was getting.. I think I might look into the fuel before I do anything as it may be a little old as the bike was sitting for a little while before I brought it, not sure if old oil would foul a plug..
Thanks Andy.

Im yet to have my bike stall due to fouling of plugs and yes i used to run the oil pump purposely outby 2mm to give it a little extra oil. Well the previous owner did. I changed it back to normal and it seems fine now. Normal is when the two lines are lined up when you give it full throttle (with the engine off). You should have a mark on the wheel that turns around as you wind the throttle on. and there should be a mark or arrow shape at the top of the bike that it lines up with. This is for the AR though. I have a MK2.2.
The only time my bike has started to foul a plug is when i was running premix and had the oil pump connected still. I was doing this to make sure the oil pump was primed before i ran the bike without any oil.
Also parts for the AR are available pretty easily through a honda dealership! It annoys me because every part ive needed has been different from the AR so i couldnt get it here in Australia. The only thing to go wrong with the oil pump would probably be the seal like mine but its a simple o ring seal which u could get anywhere not just through honda. Its diff to the MK2.2 though. ANd if the pup does ever fail just run premix from then on.
Good to see a fellow New South Welshman on the site too.

Thanks Loki thats a big help, I have one other question I have looked on the oil pump and where the lines are supposed to line up mine does not quite line up its about 2mm before the line, does this mean its getting more or less oil than the standard setting?
Thanks
Andy

As you open the throttle, if the marks line up and it overshoots by 2mm, that's too much oil. If it doesn't line up at any point, and stops 2mm before it lines up, that's not enough oil.
