black boxes behind the clock??
Hello
Could some 1 please tell me what the black boxes do behind the clock on a mk 2 crm 250???
(and the big round black canaster thing)
Is there anything there that could stop it from sparking???
i am realy struggling to get a spark from my bike at the min!
pictures would be realy usefull

the big round one is the balast resistor, bike should still run with out it but you wont have any lights. check the connections to the coil and remove the plug cap and check there is a good contact.
try shorting out the kill switch ( follow it back to the connector) the kill switch will stop sparking

thanks for the info
i have taken the kill switch and the side stand switch out of the picture and still no spark! ive also tried the cdi pickups and had a good look around all the wiring still no luck!
i hope to god its not the CDI :s

what do you mean you've taken them out of the picture? if you mean you've removed them then that is why you have no spark.

sorry i meant ive bypassed them and still no luck!
if i put the kill switch in the ON position the netural light is dimmer than when the kill switch is OFF??
