New brake discs

Post by Active Rascal » 27 Feb 2010, 14:23

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a genuine Honda rear disc with all the bolts etc off ebay (think it came from Thailand though). I'm looking for a front disc, and have found several 'patterened' ones, just wondering people's oppinions. There is also an EBC rear on ebay, are these any good?

Leisure Trail do discs, but as always they are slightly more expensive. Am I better going with one of these? Or will the following type from ebay be OK:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

Thanks in advance for any oppinions/experiences.

Shaun.

That looks exactly the same style and plane milling as a 'Sunstar' branded disk I have that came sealed in a Honda part bag. Sunstar also make the original rear sprokets for Honda XR650s and probably a lot else. All from China of course....................

EBC are fine but the cost difference .................

Yes, the rear disc I bought off ebay, listed as 'genuine' Honda was 'Sunstar'. Is this OK then? Thought I'd check with people who know before buying, don't want to end up with anything crap, and a lot of that does come from China!!

Cheers.
