Well just to prove it is possible and what you get if you do it, here's a dyno graph of a 295cc CRM engine.

See Knackered's post below for picture and Stickman's commentary.

Blue curves are stock CRM250 Mk2 with DEP pipe

Pink curves are stock CRM Mk2 with FMF pipe

Green curves are CRM 295 with FMF pipe and TMX 35mm carb.

All these are jetted for the road, in Lambretta chassis with 10" street tyres.

At 3,500 rpm my CRM 295 motor makes more torque than a standard 250 does at any rpm! It's a bit short on revs - got another barrel on the go to sort that issue and raise peak power a little. Best top speed of the 250 by GPS so far is 97mph, best top speed of the 300 is a measly 93mph. Will be satisfied when it cracks a ton, but until then we will continue to tune!

I'd say from your graph that yours is a very good one, but it only makes more peak hp and over a very small rpm range. It doesn't make any more torque than the other standard ones we've tested. If you think that makes it quicker than a 295 then there's only one way to find out....
