Sorry Guys I Run 13/49 with this plate my mistake it's been along time since I've looked at the rear sproket that close

Hi Mate, why does the plate move the position of the chain guide, looks like it pushes it forward? is this because of the bigger sprocket?

It sure is Jack your spot on

The leisure Trail one is adjustable backward and forward,The one I have designed is fixed, however

you could slot the holes in the top in the horizontal direction if you wanted to but the plate will become weaker.

You can run 50 teeth with my plate possibly more.

what sort of top end speed are you getting with 13/49 teeth & does it wheelie better as unless mines in 2nd gear it doesn't want to know

Flat out 123 kmh according to the speedo (could be out by miles) and will be once I've finished

the 17"s Motardies as I'm using stardard hubs the speedo drive will remain fuctional but read incorrect

I wonder if this can be fixed ?

I have a simular problem in my car ,changed the diff ratio and the speedo is driven by the gear box so as a result

it says I'm doing 120 when I'm doing 100. I can fix this problem I just haven't got around to it yet.

Hi Paul mate turned up tonight with the dropper plate made from you drawings! so hopfully I will get it and my 49 tooth sprocket fitted and post results! made from the same plastic as the chain guide! (that should be ok instead of alloy?) what you think?

Yep should be fine however I would advise you to run washers and nut's as I dont think the threads will hold in the plastic I'm assuming you have used nylon or acetal or something similar.

Useful drawing sir! Cheers, will have a go at making one of these over the weekend. I'm thinking it'll make wheel removal and refitting a damn site easier too, I'm running 44 on the back and the chain can get quite tight against the block thing when trying to wrangle it out lol
