Wondering if anyone has experienced this. My temperature light flickers on and off on occassion, especially when riding on tar and hitting a bump. This is very intermittent.

Another question, does fitting booysen reeds increase fuel consumption?

cheers

The light also doubles up as a low oil level reading . is that ok ?.if the oil is ok and the bike isnt hot check all the connections on the rad and oil tank etc,

No it doesn't. The light marked TEMP is for temperature and the light marked OIL is for oil level. If it's the temp one flickering, chances are you've got a wiring issue perhaps with the sensor wire chafed through and shorting to earth somewhere when you hit a bump.

Thanks chaps, i will have a look at the wiring.

My other question: does fitting Boyessen reeds make a big difference to the fuel consumption? I do a lot of adventure riding in South Africa and fuel/distance is challenging at times.
