Local Honda dealer tested mine - took about 5 mins and didn't even charge!
AR's rock!!!
TwinAir filter, Braided Brake Hoses, Swingarm/Shock bearings done!, Rear Shock overhauled and customised by G-Force, 14-44 Gearing, Exhaust decoked (fun with Caustic Soda!), DEP silencer.

My local Honda dealers are TW@T's

I phoned them this morning and asked if they have the proper Honda eqpt to test Honda reg/recs...

"Yes" he said, "we plug our pooter into the bike whilst it's running and use the diagnostic system"

"So, you haven't got the right gear then ?"

"that is the right gear"

"So how do you test if the bike won't run ?"

all gone quiete....

"It's a CRM250 AR" say's I

"Oh we don't do off-road bikes"

"Never mind, bye bye"

Highly amusing but very annoying huh!
I took mine to Chambers Motorcycles in Maidstone http://www.chambersmotorcycles.co.uk/. Despite their shop looking all modern they are still in touch with reality. You may even be able to mail it to them for testing although maybe call around another dealer nearer you. Just to clarify that I took only the reg/rect unit and they tested it. (the bikes in Uganda so a little tricky to take as hand luggage...)
