fork springs
fork springs
after reading through some threads using the search funtion and the FAQ
I have found that people are using 5.0n/mm fork springs on their bikes.
I cant however find where they got these from (K-tek doesnt stock CRM springs) or what model they are from????
any help would be greatly apreciated as I want some stiffer forks for motarding. was planning on using 20w oil too.

Re: fork springs
by the way... its a 99 AR model
Iv read that CR250 89-91 Fork Seals & Springs fit but these are conventional forks not USD like what I need.
Iv heard that XR400SM forks are identical but am having trouble finding bits for them.

Re: fork springs
CR250 1989 was the first CR to have USD forks. These and later 45mm USD fork seals will fit.
Don't know about XR400SM.
You will almost certainly need new bushes as well.

Re: fork springs
ok, so the crm250 forks are very simialar to the CRM?
Im wondering if a spring swap over will work?
or I might be better off using a spacer with stock crm forks
or just trying stiffer oil, and more oil to help firm the forks up a little
their not bad for road riding, I just want to try and stop the crazy diving that happens when I jump on the brakes
