Hi Can anyone shed some light,
I was riding over ashbourne way last sunday and went through a deep puddle, bike carried on for about a mile then spluttered to a halt, tried kicking it over and after a few backfires it fired up again then got a few miles down the lane and trying to cross a fallen tree it died again, this time it would not kick over for all the tea in china, my friend towed me for about a km trying to bump it before again it back fired a few times and then fired into life, again we only managed a few miles before it died again, this time there was no getting it going an he had to tow me back to ashbourne to load onto trailer. Spoke to Garyd and he reckoned it was electrical and not water in fuel line as i first thought, he advised me to strip it down and grease all connectors, which i have done, then i found that i was only getting a random spark, which as Gary guessed right i had moved the ecu cabling when greasing connectors and had disturbed the wiring, which with a little fiddling with wires managed to get a constant spark and bike running, but now when i flick headlight to main beam, lights just go off, also brake light has stopped working. any ideas would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Gray
